From the Mayors Desk Changes in Trash Pick-up As a matter of transparency, we would like all residents to understand the change in your trash provider. The City of Ryland Heights had a contract with Republic Services up until December 2022. A request for proposal (RFP) was sent out to the local service providers and bids were sent in and opened at a special meeting. The next step that was taken was for the Mayor and Commissioners to vote on which option was best for our City. Due to the price differences the Commission chose BestWay Disposal. Republic Services will be picking up residents’ waste carts on January 27, 2023. BestWay Disposal will be delivering your 96 gallon waste cart the week of January 30, 2023. Your first pick up will be on TUESDAY February 7, 2023. BestWay is aware that there will be more trash initially due to the time lapse. There will be no recycling offered. You have the option to contact Republic or Rumpke go directly with them for your recycling or take your recycling to Mills rd. Park.
